Alex and I recently returned from a super-dooper-wedding-planning weekend. We got a lot accomplished including our engagement pictures!! Here's the sneak preview.

September has been an incredibly busy month, hence the lack of blog posts. I promise I'll try to do better...
My parents and grandparents came to visit me in Mississippi last weekend. I introduced them to
real BBQ and gave them a taste of life in the south. We went to Birmingham on Saturday to do some wedding dress shopping (and yes, I found my dress!!) while the boys went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch football. We enjoyed the lovely weather with good food and good conversation. Did I mention that someone had a birthday?

I haven't had a chance to do much photographing lately, so I made up for lost time by snapping a few while everyone was sitting on the patio. Portraits are not my strong suit, so it was good practice for me. After the wedding, I'm going to treat myself to a photography class. I'm long overdue. Anyway, here are the pictures.

I have been busy during the week days teaching at the high school and trying to keep up with my school work. This weekend, I'm off to San Antonio to spend some time with Alex. There will surely be pictures.
As for the phood photography, that has sadly taken a backseat to my schoolwork. I've been so busy and now that Alex is gone, I'm having to relearn to how to cook for one. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate LDRs? Since I am on the unofficial "white dress diet" now, my cooking will return healthier and tastier than ever. And, I will be rekindling my friendship with the Supreme 90 workouts. My sister has been MAJOR motivation for me - she's kicking batooty on Weight Watchers!!
Next weekend, Alex and I are going to my cousin Justin and soon-to-be cousin Leah's wedding in Wisconsin!
