In case you aren’t familiar with the F-35, you can click the link the read about it (I’ll spare you details) and enjoy the photograph below. It is a 5th generation fighter aircraft, and I guess there is a chance the Viper Pilot could end up flying one of these do-dads one day. The problem is…funding. That timeline of testing and implementation keeps getting shifted to the right.

Took it on my phone, grainy, but beautiful. |
She has such a rough life. |
“JACK!! Don’t sleep!! Don’t sleep, Jack!!”
And then immediately proceeded to unbuckle himself and nearly throw himself out of the car. It was as if he couldn’t believe his eyes. Can you imagine what that must be like for him? He couldn’t stop talking about the “mountains” and how he was in Colorado. Every morning when we woke up, he wanted to make sure they were still there. It’s great that old and young can appreciate the beauty of Colorado.

The Viper Pilot and I enjoyed the GoGs, too, per the usual. It is, and always will be, one of our favorite spots.
Me: “Guys, this spot right here is really special. In fact, it’s almost famous!! [They all had huge grins on their faces.] This is where Alex asked me to marry him!”
Kids (every single one of them): “EWWWWWWW!!!”
I love these kids.
The next day, we went to Peterson AFB (the place where we got our engagement pictures taken with the airplanes). Kids love airplanes, right? Haha, it was another beautiful day, and the kids and adults alike enjoyed themselves. Going to an air museum is a lot of fun with the Viper Pilot is along. The guy has been in love with airplanes since he was in diapers and knows a little about everything. He can ID almost each one and give you a brief history along with a fun fact. He can also tell you a lot about the physical components of the aircraft. I always pick his brain.
