Yesterday the squadron (better known as Great Warhawk Nation) had Red Carpet Day or Spouse Appreciation Day in honor of the lovely ladies of the squadron. The guys went all out for us and planned a day full of events. It was great to be able to see what they do all day. It still amazes me when Alex comes home and talks about his refueling experience with the tanker. All in a days work…
Our day began with an (unclassified) mass brief which was terribly exciting. Then a safety brief about the cockpit and how to strap in with with the harness on (more on this later). The last event of the morning was a tour of the tower and RAPCON (radar approach control).
