If you dare to believe it, there is another birthday in the house. Some call it Oktoberfest, but around here, we call it Birthtoberfest.
This kid turned another year older today.
Pretty sure I win wife of the year award for the half gallon F-16 flask. Just sayin’…
With today being a long day for him and all, I got up extra early and threw him a rise ‘n shine birthday party.
It was supposed to be a surprise, but he caught me when he came down to start the coffee pot. Busted… 🙂
Pancakes and bacon, complete with a “Happy Birthday” coffee mug that I randomly found at the BX. His birthday dinner, cake and the rest of his presents will be tomorrow night since he doesn’t have to work quite as late tomorrow as he does today.
I was on the radio today for “Education Hour” and even though he was flying at the current moment, I gave him (and everyone else who had a birthday today) a shout out. I asked everyone to look at the sky, wave, and yell happy birthday. I wonder if anyone actually did that…
He is undoubtedly my better half. He will eat (usually) anything I cook, puts up with me, helps clean up/unload the dishwasher/do the laundry/etc, brings me breakfast in bed, refills my water glass, and loves me more and more every single day, and likewise for myself. Alex is able to maintain an incredibly positive outlook, even in the midst of trying circumstances. He can make me smile anytime, anywhere, no matter what.
He’s made me the happiest girl in the world and I’m so spoiled rotten. I don’t know how I got so lucky, but it’s a fact that I’m getting the better end of the deal. I can’t wait to spend infinity with him. 🙂
So here’s a toast to celebrate the birthday of the smartest, hunkiest, and best husband in the world! No gift could ever compare to the prayer I made of thankfulness and happiness I made to God today.
PROST!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALEX!
