We drove to Shreveport, LA to go to an air show at Barksdale AFB. The main attraction of the air show was supposed to be the F-22 Raptor, but Thursday they grounded all Raptors due to an oxygen system problem. You may recall the tragic Raptor crash last November up in Alaska. They have determined that the pilot’s oxygen supply was cut off and he went unconscious prior to crashing into the ground at a supersonic speed. Because of this latest development, they made (a very wise) decision to ground the Raptor until further notice. So, we did not get to see the Raptor fly backwards. We did not get to see a Raptor at all. But, we still got to see some of our favorite flying objects.

I learned a lot about my camera that day. Like not to use the polarized filter on moving objects. Oops. I should have known better. That’s why some of the pictures didn’t turn out so well (especially the B-2 and P-51 pictures). We also got to see a B-52 demo, a MiG-17 demo, and a few civilian aerobatic acts.

Haha, thanks! Between being on the beach over SB and the air show, I'd have my fair share of tan lines. I've been doing a little extra laying out to try to even things out in time for my cousin's wedding next month!
