I woke up today in London.
The hotel is o-l-d but actually really nice.
This is the Tower Bridge. We’ll hopefully get the chance to go up in it later.
Above is obviously the Big Ben bell.
The buses drive SO CLOSE to each other. I actually was able to reach across and shake the hand of another passenger on another bus once, we were so close. It was nerve wracking to say the least.
We went to the Madame Tussaud’s which was packed full of celebs. My date for the night was Tom Cruise. I finally found my man.
Mom chilled with the lovely Julia Roberts.
Shrek because quick friends with mom and gram.
Marilyn is really quite lovely.
Mom and Prince William.
Me and Miss Gaga.
The 2012 Olympic countdown has officially started! This is what they put up in Trafalgar Square. Very exciting. They’re redoing all the streets in London and building new hotels right and left.
We relaxed on the steps of Trafalgar Square in front of the National Gallery for a while. If you look closely in the picture, you can see mom and grandma in the top left hand side.
Something else we saw on the tour was Margaret Thatcher’s house (amazing and VERY expensive…) and they actually had a guard standing outside with a machine gun. Too much? I think maybe so? But maybe not, she is the former UK Conservative Prime Minister, after all. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a good picture of it. But believe you me. It’s true. And her home is beautiful…simply beautiful. The whole area was.
More pictures of our London experience to come!
Cheers!
