Hi readers? How’s your Saturday morning going? Hopefully it’s as lazy and wonderful as mine! Long time no visit – what’s new with you?
A couple of weeks ago, I visited Alex in San Antonio. I know I don’t need to remind you all, but I hate LDRs. I’m so grateful for 3 day weekends and home football games that fall on Thursdays so they cancel classes making a 3 day weekend a 4 day weekend…did ya get all that? Anyway, we spent an evening out on the Riverwalk with some of the guys in his class, which was a good time.
The next day we went to Sea World. I went to see the shows and leaping whales, and Alex went to ride the rides. Guess who won that one? Ugh, I hate rides. Apparently military gets in free – when they asked for my ID, I told them I’d bring it back in a few months and she smiled and said no prob. I liked her.
However, I am anything but “dependent” but I suppose it is something I’d better start getting used to, huh? I mean it saved us $120 that day so…yeah.
Oh hey, Shamu.
Goodbyes are a lot easier when you know you get to see each other in 5 days. My cousin’s wedding in Wisconsin was the next weekend. Justin and Leah had a gorgeous wedding! It was so much fun. I love spending time with my family! Here are a few pics from the weekend.

After such a fun weekend, saying goodbye was really tough because we don’t know when we’re going to see each other again. I hate that.
A blog post would not be complete without phood photography.
Dinner last night was something new. Boca spicy chicken meatless patty (made with soy protein), spicy mayo (Vegenaise, dijon mustard, Sriracha hot chili sauce, cayenne pepper), sweet potato fries and greens with feta, kalamata olives, and chickpeas.
I don’t like sweet potatoes. But they are so good for you and I’m learning to like them. In small doses. The fries went down okay and next week I might try mashed sweet potatoes. We’ll see. They’re just so sweet!
Breakfast was an Udi’s gluten free bagel smothered in spreadable goat cheese. Accompanied by a bowl of fresh berries and a cup of Starbucks Anniversary blend coffee with a splash of almond. Breakfast is my favorite.
Have a great weekend!
