I have a final on Monday. The last test didn’t go as well as I would have liked. I should be studying…
But I’m taking a little time off to relax. I’ll hit the books tomorrow. It’s been such a long week and it will all be over soon!
You know, it’s funny because normally I’ll take a picture that I love (when you take a good picture, you just know) and immediately think,
I can’t wait to blog about this!
This week, the Nikon has been sitting in the corner collecting dust. Some day, and some day soon, I am going to spend an entire week with my Nikon. We are LONG overdue for some quality time. I am hoping my family will let me do portraits again this year. I have learned a lot about photography in the past year and I have some wicked ideas.
I guess this separation anxiety I have with my Nikon is good for my passion for photography, but it does not support my need want to upgrade to a nicer camera, but regardless, I am in the market. IF WHEN (wait, what??) that happens, I’ll be sure to provide a review of my experience with my current Nikon and my preliminary observations about the new baby. I talk like this is all going to happen…hardy har har…
Owning a DSLR does NOT make one a ‘photographer’ in the professional sense. You can own a very nice and very expensive camera and still take really bad pictures. In the last year that I’ve had mine, I have learned that you have to spend some time getting to know your cam and a thing or two about good picture composition. However, there are times during the learning process that you get lucky. I’m still in the getting lucky stage of developing my skills. The game plan is to take a class after graduation and the wedding. That will help lots and lots.
What would you do for a french fry?
Elmer would sit and staaayyyyy….
Since I’m not studying, I’m doing some online hunting. Meaning, I’m catching up on news, window shopping, and reading blogs.
This one is probably the most important find of the day.
Make SEAL Team 6 Time Magazine 2011 Person of the Year! These guys killed Osama Bin Laden, and then lost 22 guys 3 months later. Yet, Occupy Wallstreet (don’t get me started…) and Steve Jobs are both higher on the list! Click the link below and vote YES!

I got a good chuckle out of reading THIS BLOG. Though slightly skewed because her hubs is in the Navy, it is SO true.
Lastly, I found these beautiful shoes here. Le swoon….
I don’t even have a recipe to share with you today. Money has been a wee bit tight these past few months and I have revisited my poor-college-kid days of ramen noodles for dinner. It is not exactly on the Little White Dress Healthy Lifestyle Plan but I’m still working out daily and I don’t intend for this to last…much longer. It’s cheap and I live alone. Plus, with a glass of red vino, it’s not so bad…’nuf said.
Enjoy your weekend, everyone!
