That’s kind of why we’re getting married here. By the way, wedding = planned. Boom. 🙂
We also found ourselves celebrating Thai Food Friday at the restaurant where TFF all began. Oh, man was it good. The waiter remembered us and my usual order (green curry beef, no onions, thai hot). But then again, we were just there in August and also in September. Still, he’s awesome. {Sorry for the blurry pictures. They were taken on my iPod.}
Decisions, decisions… |
My usual. THE best green curry I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot). |
Garlic beef for the Viper Pilot. |
Fortune cookie: “Big things coming in future. Only matter of time.” …Okay, duh. Tell me something I don’t know…heh heh. |
We were kind of too busy doing wedding stuff to get out a whole lot. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed it and our wedding is totally planned. It is SO exciting. But I made a promise to myself to find the time to take a daily picture of Pike’s Peak. And so, I did. Since the mountain is 14+ ft above sea level (about 8k above the city), you can see it from just about anywhere. But my favorite view is from the overlook of the Garden of the Gods. If you have ever been to C-Springs, you know that where ever you go in the city, the mountain looks totally different. It looks different in every kind of weather. Time of day makes a difference, as well. Yet, it always manages to take my breath away. Every time.
Saturday sunset – this is the view from our hotel (with the assistance of my telephoto zoom lens). |
Sunday was a dreary day, yet the colors are still absolutely gorgeous. |
Monday we woke up to snow on the ground and clouds, but then the sun came out and it was a beautiful afternoon. |
Here are a few of my favorite pictures I snapped over the weekend.
Snow at our hotel. First time I have seen snow in over a year. L-O-V-E. |
Rock formation at Garden of the Gods taken from the overlook. |
Cheyenne Mountain |
Zoomed in Pike’s Peak. Taken from the over look with my telephoto zoom lens. Isn’t that incredible? You can see the building at the top of the peak if you look closely. |
tschüss!
