I am finally sharing a post about our wedding day! I know it was a few months ago, but things have just been so crazy for us…wedding, honeymoon, TDY to Arizona, Iowa, moving to Germany…phew. Back in June, we (finally) got married. For those of you who know us, we have been together for what seems like forever, or 7 years, however you want to look at it. 😉 Finding time for us to plan and celebrate a wedding was not easy for the past few years with our insanely busy schedules. Me in school, him in training…oy. But we made it happen, and it was truly the happiest day of our lives so far.
So without further adieu, I give you our wedding day (in pictures and video).
Our photographer, Tamera from Click Photography, not only did an incredible job of capturing every emotion and every moment of our day, but she took the time to get to know us to the point where we consider her our friend and not just our photographer. When the USAFA chapel crew booted us out of the chapel becuase our time was up (yes, they really do that…) and we hadn’t quite finished with our pictures, she handled it with patience and grace like I’ve never seen. Not only did she squeeze in all the usual portraits with family and friends, but she got some incredible candid shots and portraits of Alex and I that we will cherish forever. This rockstar photographer truly loves her job. I could go on, but really I guess I should just stop and let her work do the talking. Tamera, if you’re reading this, we love you and again, we can’t say it enough, thank you!
Here is a sneak peek of the amazing pictures she took from that day. I will share a few more of my favorites with you when we get the digital copies of them.
We also had disposable cameras set out at the reception for our guests to snap pictures with. Being disposable cameras and all, they aren’t the greatest quality, but we got some great pictures! We hoped it would be a chance to get additional pictures of the guests and we definitely did, not to mention several pictures taken from an ankle biter’s perspective. 😉

Our videographer, Drew from Parallel Media, emailed us our edited version of the wedding video a few days ago and I’ve been watching it non-stop ever since. I’m not kidding, I think we’re up to a total view count of 100+ over here. It isn’t long, just under 5 minutes, but it covered every emotion that we felt that day and watching it let us relive it all over again. How he managed to take an entire day and sum it up in an emotional five minute video is beyond me. But he is incredible, and the funny thing is, for the better part of the day, I hardly even knew they were there filming. Turn up your volume!
Thank you to our guests for sharing that special day with us. You have all played a very special role in our lives. From our family to our friends, new and old, each of you have touched our lives in some significant way, shaping us as individuals. We would like to thank you all for celebrating with us as we joined our hearts and souls for all your love, support, and friendship over the years and for coming together on our special occasion to share in the joy of our marriage. We would especially like to thank our parents for giving us life, love, and opportunity, and for ALWAYS supporting us wherever our dreams have taken us.
Lots of love,
Emily & Alex
