Try new hairstyles.
It’s been years…literally…since I’ve had anything but long straight hair.
I almost always wear my hair down. It’s long and naturally straight. After a shower, I do my mandatory hair product + brush + blow dry. As a result, it looks exactly the same every day. And right now, I really need a haircut, but I can’t bring myself to cut my hair off. I was curious what my hair looked like in the back so I took a picture in the mirror (do you ever do that?) and determined that a haircut in the next month is not voluntary but imperative.
In my defense, this was taken after I had been out in the pouring rain and my hair was probably more frizzy than normal – or at least I hope it isn’t always that frizzy – even still, it’s nasty and stringy.
Okay, should I get just a trim and leave it long like it always has been or should I do something completely different? I’m such a chicken when it comes to cutting my hair. I don’t handle hairstyle changes very well. I’ve tried other styles, I just keep going back to long.
A long time ago I had short hair. I wasn’t a fan.
I grew it out again. I got annoyed with side bangs and for almost two years I rocked the front bangs.
I wish I had the guts to change it up more often, but I have a fear of looking silly. Although, it is just hair.
And so the great hair style fiasco continues. In the meantime, writing this post inspired me to put my hair in a sweet low side pony. I know, I’m the epitome of fashion…please, hold the press. 😉
