The last time we went to Bernkastel was for a wine fest last summer. Things looked a little different in this beautiful Mosel town when we were there a few days ago…
When I think “Germany” I think of this town. It is one of the few towns in the region that wasn’t bombed during the war, so it has maintained a lot of the original half-timbered buildings, many of which were built long before the ground you’re standing sitting in your chair on was discovered. The church is over 600 years old and still standing tall!
I wish we could have stayed until the sun had gone down because I know this city would really pop and sparkle with all the lights.
