My mom made us the quilt a while back and the matching pillow cases were a Christmas surprise! Elmer got some goodies, too.
How was your day? Mine was kinda “meh.”
[Meh is an interjection, often used as an expression of indifference or boredom. It can also be used as a verb and an adjective.]
Just another day like any other day. Thankful to be alive and well, I started off my day with half a grapefruit for breakfast. It got kind of messy because my dadoo wasn’t there to cut the slices out so the fruit would be easier for me to scoop out with my spoon. He used to do that for me when I was a kid. 🙂 But it was still good down to the last drop of juice I squeezed onto my spoon after devouring the fruit.
I’m worried that winter is returning to us – we have been so spoiled – because we didn’t even hit 40 degrees today. I know, the horror! In lieu of the pin-prick rain drops and cold, I wore a dress with my favorite purple/gray shoes and pretended the sun was shining. Thank you, ModCloth for today’s outfit. FTW.
I froze during my short walk to and from my car…in the rain…and I maybe regretted not wearing trousers and forgetting my umbrella. It was a good effort to beat the wintertime blues, though. On the bright side, there is snow in the forecast. <– That’s not sarcasm, I am actually excited about schnee! If it must be cold and dreary, I would prefer it being snowing as well. At least it looks pretty. The cold rain just doesn’t do it for me and it hurts when it hits you in the face.
I recorded this scene from an episode of How I Met Your Mother that I watched last night. You know, it’s a stupid show anyway. They don’t have the first clue about how to make an LDR work…amateurs. 😉
Check in tomorrow for January’s 10(+2) things. Yeah, it’s going to be a little different this month. 🙂 I’m off too do an ab workout and make soup. It’s a soup kind of night. What are you having for dinner?
PROST!
