Half a year already? No! It can’t be!! I blinked and this happened.
At six-months post-partum, I’m feeling fantastic. I’ve been below my pre-baby weight for a few months now (thanks to breastfeeding, clean eating, and exercise). Wahoo!! But the number on the scale is just a number. And I quit weighing myself a few weeks ago because I realized it is more about how I feel than what I weigh. My body isn’t completely the same but generally speaking, I feel like I did before I was pregnant and I’m happy with my body. I still can’t believe what it is capable of!

Okay, enough about me. Today I want to focus on Owen. All of a sudden, his developmental milestones are FLYING by. He’s growing up so fast. It makes me happy, but a little wistful. He doesn’t look so much like a baby anymore. They did warn me that it would go fast…
In honor of his half birthday, this month’s 10 things is all about him!
He also thinks he is a pretty big deal sitting in his high chair.
She tolerates being near him because she knows she is supposed to. She would never snap at him (this was confirmed when he grabbed her ear and pulled – she didn’t even yelp). If I have food she wants, she will run and sit by him to show me how good of a dog she is. Suck-up.
Phew, right? Good thing I didn’t go on and on. 😉
Mmmmk. I re-read this post and realize that most of it is crazy mama talk but I’m so happy and thankful. He’s happy and healthy and I don’t take that for granted in the slightest. We are so blessed beyond measure.
Two years ago (yesterday) was our wedding day. The first happiest day of our lives.
In two years, we went from that to this:
The past six months we’ve seen so much growing, learning, playing, babbling, and laughing. And I wouldn’t change a single thing. Well…maybe a few less dirty diapers. 😉
Have a great June 10th!
