His physique:
– 19 pounds (17%)
– 29 inches tall (71%)
– wears 6-9 month size clothes (some 12 month pants and 3-6 month sleepers and shirts)
His health:
– main source of nutrition is breastmilk, he loves to nurse but will drink out of a sippy cup
– he’s a good eater and has yet to find a food he won’t eat
– he’s STRONG and on the go (crawling since 8 months), pushes his cart around without help, walks up and down stairs like a big person (with help)
– pulls himself up and walks easily with assistance (he doesn’t quite have the confidence to let go)
– sleep is a touchy subject with Owen (likely due to teething that has been persistent since he was 3 months)
– 8 teeth currently, 12 month molars in the works
His tricks:
– waves hi, claps hands, and gives five (my dad taught him that and for a few days he would only give five to grandpa)
– can correctly answer “was macht die Fische sagen?” and “was macht die Hund sagen?” (What does the fish/dog say?)
– kicks a ball like a pro soccer player
– loves to make noises: clicks tongue, “guh, guh, guh,” “bababa,” and “mmkuh, mmkuh”
– sticks his tongue out and spits (it’s cute except when he’s eating)
His likes (just to name a few):
– wheels, anything and everything with wheels
– balls
– water (fountains, bath, faucets, in his sippy cup, etc).
– his wooden Gator toy
– scrambled eggs
– his daddy
– Elle (who unfortunately barely even tolerates him except at mealtime)
– being outdoors, going for walks
– peekaboo
– animals
His dislikes (he doesn’t have many):
– when mama leaves the room
– electronic toys and books (that light up or play sounds) <– he HATES them
