I forgot to decorate for fall. I simply forgot. Which is really quite sad because it’s my favorite time of year. I just never got around to hauling out the decorations. Not even a wreath. I think this is causing my early giddiness for Christmas. It is all I can do to wait until Thanksgiving to begin decking the halls. I’ve already begun brainstorming gift ideas for my loved ones and thought I might share a few ideas for this month’s 10 things. Some of these are tried and true, others are straight from my holiday wish list.
1. For the domestic diva: Wooden iPad stand for the kitchen
This makes cooking so much easier, and I love the rustic look it adds to the kitchen. She also sells a smaller one for the mini.
2. For the chef: Wusthof Gourmet 12-Piece Knife Set with Block
The knife set we registered for and received for our wedding has been very well used but now that we live in Germany (the cutlery capital of the world) we have our eye on something a little fancier.
3. For the mom-to-be: Infantino squeeze station
They don’t know it yet, but making their own baby food with this handy gadget is not only easy and healthier, but it’s cheaper than buying baby food at the store. They’ll love you for this. I promise!!
4. For the entertainer: Holiday humor paper coasters or the Cheers wine bag
Can we just adore these for a moment? And all of Kelly’s other items?
5. For the fashionista: Avoca Ivan Scarf Pioneer
We were recently in Dublin (wait, you didn’t know? Oh right, I’m way behind on blogging about our adventures) and I discovered Avoca. And fell in love. A little expensive but ohmygosh so worth it. I want all the scarves and blankets.
6. For the little ones: Baby Gap Favorite footed one-piece or Haba clutching toy
Owen has been wearing these sleepers (also available for little ladies) since he was born. I just keep buying them in the next size up. They are so cozy, super soft, and I love the fit. It’s like they grow with the baby. He’s been wearing the 3-6 month size since March and is just now getting too tall for them. Oh and wooden toys make fabulous gifts! You can never have too many wooden toys! Haba and Selecta are German companies that we love but Melissa & Doug make some great ones, too.
7. For the organized one: Reisenthel Carry Market Basket
These are all over Germany but apparently not as common in the states. I use mine for everything from road trips to carrying the recycling to grocery shopping.
8. For the newlyweds: Target’s Threshold Organic Blanket
The perfect blanket for snuggling or napping and can be used year round on the couch or over your bed. So much coziness.
9. For your guy: Fossil Mercer Traveler Wallet
This is highly recommended by the Viper Pilot. I think it’s pretty snazzy.
10. For your paper junkie: Ginger Mail
What was sending a greeting card like before Gina started Ginger Mail?! Because I honestly don’t know. Gina P designed all our paper items for our wedding and I love to continue to support her because she was phenomenal. For $15 every 6 weeks you’ll get greeting cards, stationary items, and other fun surprises. Her style is so fresh, modern, and fun!
Happy shopping! 🙂
