Hi friends! I’m so excited to share photos of Della’s nursery with you today!

We chose not to find out the sex of the baby while I was pregnant but I knew I wanted to do a neutral nursery filled with pieces I loved. I collected pieces that made me happy rather than going with a theme. My goal was to find pieces that can be used in future rooms in our house as our family continues to grow. After Della was born, I added a few more pieces to make it girly. It’s taken me almost five months to get it all put together but I’m so happy with the finished product!
Even though we live in an apartment building, the base housing office still allows us to paint the walls. Our entire apartment is four different shades of gray and I haven’t regretted it yet. Della’s is a very light gray so I was tempted to do a white crib. But any military spouse will tell you to never buy white furniture because chances are high you’ll be stuck in a house where you can’t paint the pasty white walls to make your white pieces stand out. The all white look is totally in right now, but my luck would be such that the whites would clash. With the amount of light that shines through the north facing window, I opted for this gray finished Union crib from Amazon. For the price, we’re really pleased with it. I’m glad I went with gray because it adds a warm feel to the room.
