indoor amusement park!?
Yes, please. And it’s right here in Seoul! More about it in a moment…
Last weekend was a much needed long four day weekend for our family. Typically we would go on a trip for a long weekend but Alex still had one more week in his upgrade and wasn’t able to take leave so we stayed local instead. Seoul is such a huge city and there’s so much to see and do, we decided to spend a few days exploring closer home.
We had somewhere to be on Thursday morning and somehow managed to get everyone dressed and out the door by 9 am. That’s no easy feat and demanded documentation so here we are…
After the event, Alex was able to come home so we got to spend the afternoon together. We bought Owen a water table and he has been so anxious to play with it, so we grilled dinner and enjoyed the nice weather on the balcony.
We originally had plans to go to the zoo with friends on Friday but we woke up to smoggy air and crummy weather so we changed our plans to find something indoors. We went to a cherry blossom festival a few weeks ago and found Lotte World has the world’s largest indoor amusement park. We decided it was worth going back to check out. We got on the road early (you have to or you’ll spend the day sitting in traffic) so we could get there when they opened. Even with Della’s blowout 15 minutes into the trip causing us to go back for a complete costume change, we were one of the first ones there. I’m so glad I snapped this before leaving though because she looked adorable in the first outfit.

Della even enjoyed it much to Owen’s delight.
But she was less than impressed with the fact that we put her back in the stroller afterward.
We rode a few more rides and then found a little area that had fish and animals. This is Owen and his best buddy Max.
Owen was so excited to use his new camera to take pictures of everything and Della was fascinated by the water and all things that move. She’s at such a fun age right now and is so observant.
