Hi everyone! I hope you are all feeling refreshed after a long Labor Day weekend and were able to go out and enjoy the last few days of summer! We took a little getaway to the mountains 90 minutes north of Seoul and I’m so excited to share it with you.
Alex worked late on Friday and I was exhausted after a week of sickness and no sleep so I went right to bed instead of packing. We got up early, threw some things in a suitcase and were on the road by 8. That’s a record for our family. It wasn’t a long drive by any means and even though it was early on a Saturday, we still hit some traffic. Standard for Korea. The kids did pretty well – Della just doesn’t care much for car rides and she’s still sick – and we made it without having to stop. We met up with friends for lunch and then headed out on a ferry boat to a little island in the middle of the river.
As you can probably imagine, Owen was stoked about the boat ride out to the island.
We let Owen run around a playground outside the library for a few minutes to burn a little energy (somehow the kid has an endless supply even without a nap).
