This one is for all my fellow milky mamas. And anyone who loves a healthy granola bar. PC: Forystek Photography I have never had supply issues breastfeeding but after Della was born, between Owen having more frequent night terrors and feeding Della every 1-2 hours, I wasn't sleeping more than a couple hours a night. I really worried the stress would affect my milk supply. Alex was back at work and I was really overwhelmed with my new responsibilities as mama bear to two babies. ... View the Post
Overnight Oats
Readers, brace yourselves. You are about to meet the easiest breakfast of all time. Owen is an oatmeal fan and has eaten it for breakfast every day since he was old enough to eat oatmeal. When it was just me and him, making breakfast for him was no problem. He'd sit in his high chair with Cheerios or a book while I worked in the kitchen. But now, I've got Della who doesn't like her swing or bouncy seat all that much and Owen who demands to sit on the counter and "help." It's usually before 6 or ... View the Post
10 things: homemade baby food
We waited to start Owen on solids until he was 6 months old. His digestive system wasn't quite mature (he was a very very gassy newborn and I didn't feel like he was really ready for solids any sooner.) Up to that point, he had spent time sitting in his high chair, wearing a bib, and playing with his spoon and fork. Just to warm up to the idea. Grandma and Grandpa S visit: Luxembourg

The Viper Pilot's parents flew in to spend a few days with us, er, with Owen (because let's be honest, it's not about us anymore). One of the first places we took them was Luxembourg City to see the American Military Cemetery. The area around the city was liberated by Americans in 1944 and a temporary military cemetery was built. A treaty was signed in 1951 granting the US government free use ... View the Post
The glory of gardening.
Hi friends! Did the weekend treat you well? The Viper Pilot had Friday off so we made the best of our three day weekend by doing some much needed yard work. This time last year, we were just getting around to building the garden before he deployed. (The linked post was written a week after we learned Owen was on his way, hence the enormous smiles despite the fact he was about to go off to war.) Spring was in the air but the stubborn winter chill was lingering. This year is a ... View the Post
April NatureBox
I've fallen in love with another monthly subscription container. I know what you're thinking...another? Yes, another. I've already told you about Birchbox, and now we need to talk about NatureBox. This container is where hungry meets healthy. Between BB and NB we can be good to our bodies on the inside and out. NB rocks because... no high fructose corn syrup no partially hydrogenated oils no trans fats no artificial sweeteners no artificial flavors no artificial colors I ... View the Post
