Owen's growing faster than we can fathom. He learns a new word or skill every day and I swear I can see his little body growing before my very eyes. In the past few months, we've relied on several products that have been life-savers. There is no such thing as an easy baby, but thankfully, there are things that make life with a baby just a bit easier. Several of these items are toddler favorites, some of them are still going strong from the very beginning. What are a few things you can't live ... View the Post
I need a fix – a Stitch Fix!
Who got pinched on St. Patrick's Day for not wearing green? baby cleavage... :) This blue-eyed little hunk did before he got dressed for the day. But I couldn't resist pinching those sweet cheeks even if I had to. If you think these pictures are good, you should see what I could do with a 40mm lens. Hey Viper Pilot, hint, hint, nudge, nudge...ahem. ;) He's probably only 15-20% Irish (he got it from me who I got from my mom who got it from her mom), but he ... View the Post
10 things: baby must-haves
Actually, 10 things: Owen must-have. Well, we don't have to have them but they do make life easier - his and mine! Every baby is one-of-a-kind and likes different things. For example, some babies are soothed by pacifiers. Owen thinks they are a joke. Here are ten items that are Owen approved. How to: paint a baby crib with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint
I painted Owen's crib grey. Or gray. I never really know. Here's the long overdue post about the grey crib. I swear to you, it wasn't supposed to be a "wild idea." But it happened irregardless. And I am so glad it did because it is my favorite piece in Owen's nursery (besides him, of course). Here's how it all went down in a pecan shell. While the Viper Pilot was in Afghanistan, I got the not-wild idea to buy a used crib and paint it gray to save money. It was going to be ... View the Post
10 things: my pregnancy must-haves
I must admit October 10th has certainly sneaked up on me. {Insert clever comment about how fast time is going here.} Our little pumpkin will be here before we know it. That being said, who knows what life will be like in a month so I decided to share my top ten pregnancy must-haves in October's "10 things" post. I'm not claiming these are the secrets to an easy pregnancy (women have been having babies for several years now and no two pregnancies are alike) but these items have certainly done ... 10 things: binge-watch worthy TV shows
Don't get me wrong, I'm not {normally} a couch potato. I can't say that for everyone in this house... But in the past 4 months, I've become one of sorts. We don't have regular TV here like you get in the states. We get about 10 channels of American shows on American Forces Network with delayed showings of popular shows and a few movies, live national news, and even sports but flooded with silly military oriented commercials and military news. I haven't seen a real commercial or the ... View the Post
