The kids haven't stopped talking about our upcoming trip to Colorado. Owen asked to check out a book about Colorado from the library and we made a sticker chart to countdown the days until we leave. Della is quick to tell everyone we meet that we're going to "Cowowado!" though it means absolutely nothing to her. When we lived overseas, we were really good about taking family trips frequently. But now that we're in the states where it's incredibly expensive to travel, and with Owen in school, ... View the Post
Favorite Baby Things
Now that I've had three months to adjust to having a newborn in the house I thought I'd share the items that have made the transition easier and have truthfully saved my sanity. I've reused several items that were Owen's, but I've also discovered a few new items that I really wish I'd known about with the other two. I try to just stick with the essentials, but with my third baby, sometimes the "nice to have" items really are just nice to have. :) I am terrible at these posts. They're a ... View the Post
Our Favorite Bow Shops
One of my favorite things about having girls is all the bows. You probably know that already if you've ever seen Della and Greta in pictures or in person. We have acquired quite the collection since Della was born. I get asked all the time which bow shops are our favorites so I thought I'd share a few with you today - there are even a couple options for boy mamas too (bow ties and birthday crowns). Also be sure to use the discount codes, exclusively for YOU, my lovely readers. My ... View the Post
What’s in my hospital bag
I am 38 weeks pregnant and have been going to the doctor weekly...for no particular reason. I'm not really sure why they have me come back weekly, I'm feeling awesome and baby is doing great. I basically just sit and wait for 20+ minutes while trying to keep Della from licking the floor for someone to tell me I'm doing great. No one has mentioned the i-word (induction) fortunately and I'm grateful my doctors are willing to work with me and my preferences for the birth. I am very excited to meet ... View the Post
Owen’s Big Boy Room Tour!
Before we even moved into this house, I was determined to have a designated playroom for the kids. I cannot stand toys having a permanent home out in our living space so while we were in Korea they were all crammed into Owen's tiny room, stuffed into baskets and shoved in the closet. Long story short, we ended up renting this house sight unseen while I was on a layover in Japan with the kids and Alex was in Alaska. It was about to get rented by a group of young pilots and we'd already had ... View the Post
How I meal plan
I posted on my IG stories yesterday about my deep freeze filling up with meals for after baby arrives and got a lot of questions about how I do it. I laughed because honestly, I don't know...I'm not superwoman I swear. I am going to chalk it all up to nesting...somehow it really hasn't been that difficult. The hardest part has been making sure I find time to spend with Owen and Della, especially before the baby comes. They have so much space to play here and they play together really well. When ...
