Drink more water.
I don’t think I need to remind you of the benefits of drinking enough water. We are constantly reminded of the importance of “drinking eight cups of water a day” and then we also hear the flip side: that it’s a myth. Well, I don’t know (or care) if it is fact or crap.
What I do know is that I feel so much better when I drink plenty of water. I keep Old Blue (my water bottle) glued to my side 24/7. It even sits on my nightstand when I sleep. Sometimes I drink four of these day. Sometimes I only drink half. (Not good.)
It’s very easy for me to tell when I’m “chronically dehydrated.” I get a headache, my skin is gross, my lips get chapped, and I tend to overeat at meals. My goal is to NEVER let my body feel like that. Ever.
Since it is easy to get busy with tasks at work or in my daily routine and I sometimes forget to drink water, I’ve started tracking how many bottles of water I consume. I keep a sticky note on my computer at work so that I am constantly reminded to drink MORE!!
