The sun is shining, the air is clear, the kids are playing nicely in the backyard, Pandora is echoing my favorite station in my empty house, and I have an iced coffee with me. I mean, it doesn't get much better, right? Before I start telling you about our new home (which I'm super excited about) I want to fill you in on what we've been up to in the past month. I have to tell you that the day we left our apartment for the last time wasn't really tough to do. I wasn't sad at all. It felt ... View the Post
Hey, it’s Emily.
Hi guys, remember me? It's Emily. I owe you an update. Or I need to shut the blog down or something, which I'm not going to do, so I'm brewing coffee and I'm going to do the update. I'll try to keep it brief but a lot has happened since my last post so you might want to grab a coffee, or a glass of wine. Whatever you fancy. Gosh darn you guys, I hate when I get so behind like this. I wish I was better about blogging frequently. I've been through all this before with you, it's nothing new for me ... View the Post
Hello Spring!
April has been such a crazy busy month for us. Alex had to go TDY for two weeks but he was only a 2 hour drive away so he was able to come spend the weekends with us. I was really glad he got to come home for Easter! Before he came home, Owen and I dyed Easter eggs while Della napped. On a good day she'll sleep 2.5 ... View the Post
Emily’s Great Hiatus of 2017
Guys, remember that time I went to the states on a one-way ticket? We landed in Iowa to heaps of snow and freezing cold wind. Of which none of us were terribly amused by... But the air was fresh and clean and we were surrounded by grandmas and grandpas so no one really complained. Truth be told, the trip to the states was more for me than anyone. I realize how selfish that sounds but I needed a break from Korea. It's not that it's a bad place, but I had cabin fever something fierce and I was ... View the Post
A Korean Fourth
It's been a few years since we've spent the 4th of July in the good old USA but we have always made an effort to celebrate our great nation. This year was no exception. With a four day weekend, we decided to pack up the car and hit the road to Busan, down on the southern coast of the peninsula and spend a few days on the beach. I was really impressed with how well the kids did. It was our first big road trip as a family of four and our first time in a hotel with two kids. The trip there had ... View the Post
