Hi friends! How is your weekend so far? If it is anything like ours, there is plenty of schnee.
We got sent home from work early because of the white stuff, which was fine by me. I think it is safe to say we have seen yet another beautiful season transform our back yard.
When we got home from work, before we started shoveling the sidewalks, I snapped a few pictures. It’s the first snowfall in our new house, it would be a sin if I didn’t document this!
I enjoy photographing snowy days, even when the sky is so cloudy and grey it matches the snow on the ground. It gives definition to anything with color. Like trees, a fence, or a little tiny green leaf that otherwise goes unnoticed.
Elle really loves snow. It has been a while since she got to play in it. She got cold, but frolicked (literally) and flung it around with her snout. When get got inside and shook it off, chunks of snow went everywhere and she melted into a soggy pup. She had to wear her sweater to warm back up.
My super-duper snow remover man. (For the record, I did help shovel the sidewalk.)
|Do you see what I see? You’ll laugh when you do.|
The next morning, the sun was shining. Which meant the clouds went away sometime overnight making it insanely cold. But the snow was even more beautiful sparkling in the sunshine.
I apologize for not checking in yesterday. We took a short one-night trip and I didn’t have internet access. I’ll post a “pictures of the day” post later to give you a sneak peek of what we’ve been up to. For now, we’re going to curl up on the couch and just stay warm!
Have a happy Sunday!
