Howdy, blog readers. I’m so excited about the new Facebook page, and am even more excited about how awesome you all ya’ll are for “liking” it! If you haven’t had the chance to check it out, please do and “like” it! Bitte und danke. 🙂
Poor pup, she knows what the camera is. Sometimes she will cooperate with me and sit pretty and other times…eh, not so much. I feel bad for our future children, there is no hope for them. They’re going to love getting their picture taken…or else!
“Hi.” |
Actually, it’s me being sick while the Viper Pilot was playing with the new lens I bought for my camera. I’m never too sick to take pictures. This lens rocks. The joy I have for this new toy is similar to what I felt when I got a new Barbie as a kid. It takes wicked awesome pictures.
{Insert subject change here..} Sorry, it must be the medicine making me all scatter-brained and loopy…
I have to confess I’m a little bit competitive. Or maybe it’s more like a lot… If you challenge me to something, you’d better be prepared because I’m bringing the show and you’re going down. (I originally wrote “…because I’m bringing the chicken to the party…” but I realized that doesn’t make any sense AT ALL so I deleted it. I then decided to share it with you anyway because I thought you might need a laugh at my expense. Um, you’re welcome for that.) I feel incredibly sorry for anyone who decides to enter this upcoming Chili Cook-Off that our squadron is having. They really don’t have a chance. I’m bringing the CHILI to the party.
There. That made a little more sense than bringing a chicken. I must be really out of it today. I have been making chili for the past several years. It’s one of my favorite things to make because I don’t ever use a recipe. I have been inspired by my mom and grandma’s recipes and I have the Viper Pilot as my official taste-tester so it has always turned out delicious – I’ve just never been consistent with my recipe since I didn’t write anything down. Clearly, I haven’t worked too hard to perfect it. Up until a few days ago, this was the best recipe I had to speak of. When I found out about this competition a few days ago, I set to work. I raided my spice shelves, sat down, and started jotting down notes/ideas.
Suggestions are sincerely appreciated.
PROST!
