My heart is overwhelmed with birthday love. I have awesome friends and family. All the warm wishes on Facebook really made my day better than it already was. With each birthday that passes, I find myself forgetting to get excited about my day. I’m not going to let that happen. Just because I gotta get older doesn’t mean birthdays can’t be fun. Let’s keep it that way. I can’t wait to do it all over again in 364 days. Boo-yah.
I lurve having a birthday in early October. When we lived in Iowa & Colorado, my birthday landed right around the time when the leaves were at their peak. Leaves are probably close to their peak here, except all it does is rain, so they’re soggy and not as vibrant as I would like them to be.

The girls at the office made my day extra special, too! Erm, don’t ask about the picture. It’s a long story…
Even though we didn’t get to watch the great debate (which is sad because all we can hear over here is the media destroying the candidates) we still get to vote and our ballots arrived yesterday. I don’t ever discuss my political views on the blog because I won’t change anyone’s mind and my opinion is just merely my opinion and it ain’t really worth 2 pennies to you. BUT, I do want to encourage everyone to VOTE!
Last night, we celebrated my birthday with some din-din, drinks, and cuddled up on the couch watching…wait for it…NCIS! Two episodes away from being done with season 9. If you know anything, you know that season 10 just aired last week. We can’t watch it on TV though, so we’ll have to wait for the DVDs to come out. We are so addicted to that show. It’s sooo good. Totes magotes.

The Viper Pilot surprised me with presents. I knew what this was before I unwrapped it because I pointed it out at the Ramstein Bazaar a couple of weeks ago and I wasn’t allowed to look in the backseat on the drive home. There aren’t many things that come in a container that size. I was still really excited about it because I’ve been wanting a propeller for such a long time!
It’s a WWII airplane propeller, very vintage and classic. Our living room has a vintage airplane theme to it, and I already know where I’m going to display it.
Ethel remembered my birthday, too…
We always joke about how crooked her teeth are and that she could really use braces. I was in a laughing fit when I opened the card from Elmer.
The rest of my present from the Viper Pilot was a surprise weekend getaway that he planned for us. We leave as soon as he gets home from work tonight. I got home from work, did a quick cardio workout (I’ve eaten 4 pieces of birthday cake in the past 24 hours…don’t judge) even though I really should have been packing. But, the Viper Pilot is late tonight, so I still have time to pack. Everything happens for a reason. 😉
PROST!
