I’ve fallen in love with another monthly subscription container. I know what you’re thinking…another? Yes, another. I’ve already told you about Birchbox, and now we need to talk about NatureBox.
This container is where hungry meets healthy. Between BB and NB we can be good to our bodies on the inside and out.
NB rocks because…
- no high fructose corn syrup
- no partially hydrogenated oils
- no trans fats
- no artificial sweeteners
- no artificial flavors
- no artificial colors
I love snacks. I’m not one of those people who eats three meals a day. No. I graze all day long. Kind of like a cow, except I don’t eat grass and whatever else cows eat. Snacking is my “excuse” to eat throughout the day. I don’t count calories or record what I eat, but I know people who do, and snacking is their evil enemy. “Oh this? This is just a snack.” My mom, the rockstar Weight Watchers success story, loves the crumbs at the bottom of the bag, whatever it may be, and she always would say, “the crumbs don’t count,” and wink. 😉
I can’t remember where I first heard about NatureBox, but I found an online coupon that I couldn’t resist and gave it a whirl. Snacking in this country consists of giant 500+ calorie pretzels, bratwursts slathered in mustard, french fries, and lots and lots of carbs. While the food is mouthwatering, it isn’t exactly what you need to keep your heart and body happy and healthy. It may work for the locals, but I have American blood and it doesn’t work for me.

Like with most subscriptions, you can opt out after your first month if you aren’t satisfied. Lucky for me, the first container was more than satisfying, as were the next two. So, I finally decided to share it with you lovely people. Each month, for $20 (unless you have a coupon, then it is cheaper!) a small container of 5 different snacks appears at your door for your to taste test.
So let’s take a look inside:
Italian Bistro Pretzels: Incredible. I knew before I even tried them that I would love them. And I do. They have an incredible flavor and the perfect crrrunch. The serving size is only 9, slightly problematic since the bag was about gone by the end of the day…
Whole Wheat Raspberry Figgy Bars: Ohmyosh. Yum. I can’t get enough of these. They are individually wrapped to stay fresh longer. They were like Fig Newtons but not nearly as sweet. And the whole wheat gave it an awesome texture. I mean…just look at them.
Lemon Meringue Waffles: I didn’t think I’d like these, but they are rather tasty. Not too lemony, sweet, fluffy, and crispy. A good little pickmeup snack — also delicious dipped in blueberry yogurt. And delicious with afternoon tea.
Taj Mahal Snack Mix: Gross. I think most people would like it, which is why I’m sending it to the Viper Pilot, because it has a great texture with all of the seeds, nuts, and fruits, but it has a curry kick to it that cause me to spit it out. I like curry, but this wasn’t for me.
Banana Bread Granola: Not great by itself, but with a little milk or mixed into Greek vanilla yogurt with a little cinnamon sprinkled on top and it is a whole new twist on banana bread. The hint of banana is subtle, not overwhelming at all. Also, it doesn’t break your teeth when you bite into it like some granola.
Sound good to you?
For those counting calories or points, the nutrition labels are included on each snack bag AND (this is my favorite part) NatureBox is partnered with Feeding America. For each container you purchase, they donate one meal to feed over 14 million children in America who go hungry. It’s a win-win-win, you eat good, you do good, you feel good.
What are you waiting for? This is your guilt-free excuse to graze all day and no pay the consequences. 🙂
{Disclaimer: this post was not sponsored, it is just my opinion. Plus, I like to share the good stuff with ya.}
PROST!
