Memorial Day weekend was the ILA Berlin airshow and we took advantage of the three day weekend to revisit Berlin and see what all the hype is about the internationally acclaimed show.
The ILA Berlin Air Show is the oldest aviation show in the world. It’s a big commercial trade event combined with an airshow and it is open to the public for the last few days. It runs every other year in opposition with the Paris airshow. We’re hoping to make it to Paris next summer. This show is not one to miss if you’re any sort of aviation fan. Like Owen.
We wandered around checking out all the aircraft that were on static display.
The bottom of their jet was painted up like the Turkish flag, which I thought was pretty cool. Of course, it’s just a pretty cool jet, period. 😉
The weather was gorgeous but the clouds were all over the plkace. Morning clouds cleared out to a blue sky and a hot sun. We were wishing we’d had sunscreen and shade by the end of the day.
