The title is rightfully posed as a question because indeed I am in Nashville, but I don't really know it because I'm shelled up in this resort and haven't seen daylight since Sunday. Oof. They have skylights allowing for natural light, but there is something to be said for fresh air. My hotel room doesn't even have a window looking to the outdoors - it looks into the large atrium inside the hotel called the "Cascades." I am at the 50th AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics) ... View the Post

What an incredible year 2011 has been. I can't even fathom writing a post to recap it all - it would be a novel. So, let's review 2011 in pictures. Starting at the beginning... Have a Motive.
What motivates you? Licking your plate clean? As long as your hair is pulled back... Sunbathing on a 70-something degree December day? Well, if you're me, and you need motivation for studying for your FINAL final exam...you need a little extra oomph. I'm talking about things like Pandora, coffee in my snowman mug and good food. And a really big table to spread out. My good food motive was sweet potato fries, Boca Spicy [meatless] Chik'n on a whole grain sandwich thin spread with ... View the Post
I should be studying.
I have a final on Monday. The last test didn't go as well as I would have liked. I should be studying... But I'm taking a little time off to relax. I'll hit the books tomorrow. It's been such a long week and it will all be over soon! You know, it's funny because normally I'll take a picture that I love (when you take a good picture, you just know) and immediately think, I can't wait to blog about this! This week, the Nikon has been sitting in the corner collecting dust. Some day, and some day ... View the Post
Chicken Tortilla Soup
Heyyyy guys. TGI(almost)F. I had a midterm today. I either rocked it or bombed it. We'll see. I HATE true/false question tests. And long work out problems when you make a mistake right from the git-go and end up having to go back and re-do everything because you realized your mistake way too late and then you run out of time. Blergh. A good Supreme 90 leg workout and a nice long walk with Elmer relieved some of that stress. Even though the temps are still in the 80s here, I'm craving ... View the Post
Emily’s European Adventure: Day 14
This post is about yesterday...you'll understand why when you get to the end. Got got to EADS-IW early in the morning and met Stefan and Dominik there. Stefan and I did experiments for my research right away while Dominik and Doc T discussed other things of business. The apparatus they use to do water droplet tests is really simple. The determined volume of water is dispensed into the copper tube and falls through a pipet at the bottom where it falls onto a surface of various morphology ... View the Post
