Hiiii! I'm back to tell you about the rest of our trip in the Chuncheon area. Cleaning the apartment is higher on my to-do list than writing this post so I just went ahead and hired a cleaning lady to come tomorrow...so here I am. :) On our way to and from the villa we stayed at, we passed a little train station just up the road. It wasn't your typical train station however so the next morning we decided to stop and check it out. Owen was so excited about this train ... View the Post
Exploring Nami Island
Hi everyone! I hope you are all feeling refreshed after a long Labor Day weekend and were able to go out and enjoy the last few days of summer! We took a little getaway to the mountains 90 minutes north of Seoul and I'm so excited to share it with you. Alex worked late on Friday and I was exhausted after a week of sickness and no sleep so I went right to bed instead of packing. We got up early, threw some things in a suitcase and were on the road by 8. That's a record for our family. It ... View the Post
A Korean Fourth
It's been a few years since we've spent the 4th of July in the good old USA but we have always made an effort to celebrate our great nation. This year was no exception. With a four day weekend, we decided to pack up the car and hit the road to Busan, down on the southern coast of the peninsula and spend a few days on the beach. I was really impressed with how well the kids did. It was our first big road trip as a family of four and our first time in a hotel with two kids. The trip there had ... View the Post
Samsung Transportation Museum
Or you might call it a little slice of Owen's heaven on earth. We were looking for something to do on Father's Day afternoon and when we saw this place on our Trip Advisor list of places nearby, we knew it was going to be a hit. Cars, trucks, airplanes, trains - they have it all. Every car was a Mustang to Owen and all he wanted to do was drive every single one of them. By the time we made it through the museum and saw all the cars (it took several hours) we missed all the fun outdoor ... View the Post
Soul of Seoul
Hi guys! It's me, Emily. I've gotten so behind on the blog. You see, I kind of started a business and have been busy building a website and doing business-y things. I'm going to do my very best to juggle the two, but bear with me as I try to figure it all out. Let's go back in time a few weeks... With every intention of taking Owen to either see animals or fish, we somehow wound up at the top of the Seoul Tower one hot Saturday afternoon. The traffic in the city was worse than usual (which ... View the Post
Korean Folk Village
We got up bright and early as usual (thank you, Owen) on Sunday and decided since we were all ready for the day we might as well get out and enjoy it. We have been wanting to check out the Korean Folk Village since we moved here and figured it'd be the perfect outdoor activity. If you're from Iowa, think Living History Farms, but Korean. It's a traditional Korean village with people living life the way the Koreans did way back when. This dude was making pipes. The village is massive and ... View the Post
