After the Viper Pilot's graduation we spent the rest of the weekend with our family on the Riverwalk downtown San Antonio. It was an experience for my mom and dad since they have never been to San Antonio. After a week of rain, the weather that weekend was far more perfect that we could have asked for. It was beautiful! My only gripe about the Riverwalk is the mucky water. It would be sweet if they could keep it clean, but with the sidewalk right along the water, I imagine a lot of garbage ... View the Post
Mission Complete!
I am so very sorry for the lack of blog posts. I had to kind of prioritize my life for a week or two and unfortunately, blogging was not at the top. However, I did defend my thesis...SUCCESSFULLY. It went better than I could have ever imagined, actually. I passed and my paper is turned in. Of course, there will be revisions, but that's the easy part. It feels SO good to be mission complete. Grad school was a fun ride but wow...lots of work. I have my masters of science in aerospace engineering ... View the Post
His other ride is a Viper
When I was in Texas a while back, I had the opportunity to watch the boys hard at work. Meaning, I parked my car along the road that runs parallel to the runway, stuck my nugget out the sunroof and took pictures as they were taking off. (Thank you, Bridget!! She photoshopped the fence out.) #1: SFTR/Stunt #1: SFTR/Stunt #2: Rojo #2: Rojo #3: Killer #3: Killer And last -- but certainly not least -- my favorite Viper Pilot! #4: SXTR #4: SXTR #4: ... airplane park
I know I said we were going to go see The Hunger Games the other day. Well...the weather was just too nice to sit in a movie theater. We took the four legged critter for a walk around the parade field on base instead and looked at all the planes they have out there. (That's our idea of a fun day...) It was actually pretty hot out and she took refuge in the shade of the airplanes as often as she could. We call them "mandatory rests" because once she plops down in the shade, she doesn't ... SB MMXII – Part Eins
Title translate: Spring Break 2012 - Part 1 Spring break came and went...rilly rilly fast. Not sure exactly how it happened so fast, but it most certainly did fly by. I have decided to blog about it in parts because so much happened in such a short amount of time. I am not really in the mood to type a whole lot so I'll just show you the pictures. (I taught a lesson on aerodynamics to a bunch of rowdy high schoolers, and while they were very interested and intrigued, it was exhausting.) This ... View the Post
Reunion: Texas Style
Hi readers. How are you? I'm good despite the rainy, dreary weather here. It's entirely too yuck-o even for a walk outside. But I will take dreary, warm, and humid over cold and snowy...I guess. This past weekend, I was in San Antonio for a little reunion {I told you about this in the last post} with one of my very best friends and bridesmaid, Kristin, and her boyfriend Joe. This girl...I love her so much!! They stayed at our house Friday night and we stayed up late chatting and catching ... View the Post
